What are adhesive beads?
Adhesive beads (лепящи мъниста — lepyashti manista) are decorative gem, rhinestone, pearl, or shaped bead elements with a pre-applied pressure-sensitive adhesive on the flat back — applied to surfaces simply by pressing into place, without any additional glue, UV resin, or adhesive needed. The adhesive back makes them the fastest and most accessible format for gem and crystal decoration: where loose rhinestones and resin gluing shapes require a separate adhesive application step, adhesive beads are applied in a single press — pick up with a dotting tool or tweezers, press onto the surface, done. They are available in several decorative forms: flat-back rhinestone gems (faceted acrylic or glass-look crystals with a flat back and pre-applied adhesive); adhesive pearl beads (flat-back hemisphere pearls); and adhesive shaped gems (stars, hearts, and other forms with pre-applied adhesive). Available in multiple sizes from 2mm micro gems through to larger accent stones, in a full colour range including crystal clear, aurora borealis (AB) iridescent, and solid colours.
How are adhesive beads used?
Adhesive beads are used wherever fast, clean, no-mess gem or crystal decoration is needed. In nail art — the largest single market for adhesive gems — self-adhesive rhinestones and pearls are pressed onto gel or polish nails as accent decorations, either directly onto tacky gel top coat or with a dot of nail glue; the pre-applied adhesive makes placement fast and precise. In card making and scrapbooking, adhesive gems are pressed onto paper and card to add sparkle to greetings cards, invitations, and memory book pages. In garment and textile decoration, adhesive gems are applied to fabric surfaces for temporary or semi-permanent decoration — particularly on costume, dance and performance wear, and event clothing.
